Coming in to the match, Both the teams were looking for a win as to get closer to the league title. Lyon was winless in the last 8 matches. The second half brought some very entertaining football to the viewers. In the 60th minute Lyon defender made a mistaken and the ball went past him. Burak ran past the by-line and provided a low driven cross to Jonathan David . David made absolutely no mistake and tapped in the ball back into the net and scored his 10th league goal. Lyon 2-2 Lille.
The best was yet to come. In the 85th minute Lille started a counter attack with Yilmaz in the front. Yilmaz took a great first touch of a long ball , ran past the defenders and chipped the ball over the goalkeeper. The game was done and dusted. Lille won the match coming from 2 goal behind and the Turkish striker led the team from the front. With this win Lille remain on top of the Ligue 1 table and have a great chance of winning their 4th Ligue 1 title and 1st since 2011.
