Mandy Yachad (born 17 November 1960) is a veteran South African cricketer and field hockey player who served his country in both sports. Yachad made his first international appearance for South Africa in 1991, but only appeared in one ODI. Yachad’s international cricket career was cut short by the international sporting banning of South Africa in the 1980s and early 1990s, denying him the opportunity to play for his country in his prime. In 1985 and 1991, he was labelled one of South Africa’s annual five Players of the Year.
He joined the Peregrine Group in 1999 as an executive director. Prior to this, he was a law partner at Werksmans Attorneys, where he practised commercial law for 14 years, nine of which he was a partner. He graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a BCom and an LLB. He scored 31 runs in one ODI for South Africa against India in 1991.
