Olympian shooter Manu Bhaker delivered a strong performance to win the 10m Pistol Women event at the National Selection Trials T3 (Group A). The competition took place at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi, where several top shooters from across the country competed.

Despite entering the finals as the last qualifier, Manu showed great composure and skill during the final round. She maintained her focus throughout the event and finished with a winning score of 246.1.

Her performance placed her comfortably ahead of the other finalists and secured the top position in the competition.

Strong Competition in the Finals

The finals featured eight talented shooters, making the event highly competitive.

Sainyam, who had won the second trial earlier, finished in second place with a score of 241.9. Her performance kept the pressure on Manu Bhaker throughout the final round.

Esha Singh secured the third position with a score of 220.6. She is already known for her achievements at the international level, including medals at the Asian Championship and World Championship.

The close competition between these shooters made the final stage exciting for spectators.

Other Shooters in the Top Eight

Asian Games champion Palak Gulia finished in fourth place after scoring 200.2 points. She was followed by Anjali Choudhary, who ended the event in fifth place with 179.8 points.

Surbhi Rao secured the sixth position with a score of 158.2.

The remaining two spots in the top eight were taken by Pranjali Prashant Dhumal, a Deaflympics medallist, and Muskan. They scored 138.7 and 117.0 points respectively.

All eight shooters displayed strong skills and determination during the competition.

Qualification Round Highlights

Before reaching the finals, shooters competed in a qualification round to secure their spots.

Esha Singh finished the qualification stage in first place with a score of 580-21x, showing excellent accuracy. Surbhi Rao followed in second place with 578-12x.

Muskan qualified in third place with 577-15x, while Anjali Choudhary secured the fourth position with 575-19x.

Sainyam and Palak Gulia also performed well in the qualification round. Manu Bhaker qualified in seventh place with 574-11x, making her the last shooter to enter the finals.

However, she completely changed the momentum during the final stage and eventually won the event.

Results in Other Shooting Events

Apart from the 10m Pistol Women event, several other competitions were also held during the trials.

In the 50m Rifle Prone Men category, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar secured first place with a score of 628.3. Niraj Kumar finished second with 622.6, while Goldi Gurjar claimed third place with 622.2.

In the 50m Rifle Prone Women event, Sift Kaur Samra delivered an impressive performance to finish first with 628.3 points. Aakriti Dahiya came second with 627.0, and Manini Kaushik secured third place with 626.6.

These results highlight the growing strength of Indian shooters across multiple disciplines.

National Coaching Camp Begins Next

After the completion of the National Selection Trials, selected athletes will now take part in a training camp.

The national coaching camp will be held in New Delhi from March 11 to March 21. During this period, shooters will train under expert guidance and prepare for upcoming international competitions.

Such camps help athletes improve their technique, build consistency, and prepare for major tournaments.
