Marcus Stoinis’ Intense Send-Off To Rohit Sharma: Marcus Stoinis showed his value once again on Sunday (June 1) by giving Punjab Kings a big breakthrough in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 match against Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The match started two hours late because of rain and a wet outfield. Earlier, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first in this important knockout game.
When the match finally started, Shreyas Iyer brought Marcus Stoinis into the attack in the third over, and it worked right away. Stoinis dismissed the in-form Rohit Sharma on his second ball.
Rohit had scored just 4 runs from 5 balls and tried to attack Stoinis, hitting the first ball for a four. But on the next delivery, he mistimed a shot and was caught by Vijaykumar Vyshak at deep-backward square leg.
Stoinis celebrated the big wicket with an aggressive send-off, thumping his chest and roaring in excitement.
Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with reactions from the fans, who are trolling Rohit Sharma left, right, and center for his another flop show. Check out how fans reacted to Rohit’s flop performance:
Losing Rohit early was a big loss for Mumbai. He had played very well in the last game against the Gujarat Titans, scoring 81 runs and winning the Player of the Match award.
At the time of this report, Mumbai Indians were 43 runs for 1 wicket after 4 overs. Jonny Bairstow and Tilak Varma were batting for the five-time champions.
