Marvel Rivals is ready to take its esports journey to the next level. The game’s creators have officially announced a brand-new global tournament called Marvel Rivals Ignite. This will run all through 2025 and will have a huge prize pool of $3 million the biggest amount ever seen for this game. This news has created a lot of excitement among pro players and fans around the world.

Here’s all the simple and important information you need to know about this tournament.

What Is Marvel Rivals Ignite?

Marvel Rivals Ignite is a global competitive tournament series that will run for the whole year in 2025. The developers announced it on the game’s official X (Twitter) page, with a cinematic trailer that quickly went viral. It got over 400,000 views and thousands of likes just a few hours after posting.

Tournament Regions

The Ignite tournament will cover five big regions:

  • Americas
  • EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa)
  • China
  • Asia
  • Oceania

Teams from all these regions will compete throughout the year, leading to the final showdown at the Global Finals in November 2025.

Prize Pool and Finals

The total prize pool is more than $3 million, and a huge $1 million is saved just for the Global Finals. Only the top teams from each region will get a chance to play in this final event.

So far, the exact dates for regional qualifiers and finals are still unknown. It’s also not clear how the rest of the $2 million will be divided among the other events. But fans can expect many exciting matches and a very competitive scene.

Past Tournaments Were Smaller

Before Marvel Rivals Ignite, the game had only two types of official competitions:

  • MR Invitational – Invite-only event with top regional teams and a $100,000 prize pool per region.
  • MR Championship – Open tournament for everyone, with a $14,500 prize pool per region.

Compared to those, Ignite is a huge leap forward for the game’s competitive growth.

Community Events Adding More Hype

Besides the official tournaments, big streamers are also joining the fun. Popular streamer xQc recently said he will host a $250,000 tournament soon. This adds even more excitement to the growing esports scene for Marvel Rivals.
