Glenn Maxwell and Devdutt Padikkal came to the rescue after RCB lost early wickets of Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar and were 9 for 2 wickets after the first two overs as the duo notched up a partnership to take the score to 53 after 7 overs.

Maxwell anchored the innings as he ensured constant boundaries and quick singles to put pressure back on the Knight Riders. He has so far scored runs off just 19 balls which included 4 fours and 2 sixes. Padikkal on the other hand patiently carried the innings as he allowed Maxwell to free his arms and give him the strike.

The Royal Challengers would look forward to posting a mammoth total on the board after making a blunder at the start of their innings.
