2. Eoin Morgan – 13 Centuries
Credited for England’s white-ball revolution, former captain Eoin Morgan has 13 ODI centuries to his name in the England shirt. For England, the Irishman played 207 innings, scoring 6957 runs at an average of 39 and strike rate of 93. He is England’s leading ODI run-scorer right now.
Morgan’s most memorable moment in England’s colors came in 2019 when he led England to their maiden ODI World Cup trophy.
His highest individual score in the format came in the group stage match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against Afghanistan where he smashed 148 runs off 71 balls.
3. Jason Roy – 12 Centuries
Jason Roy is an opener and played a key role in England’s victory in the 2019 World Cup. Roy, who made his debut for his country in May 2015, amassed 4271 runs at an average of 39 and a strike rate of 105 in 110 innings, with 12 ODI centuries.
Roy last participated in an international match against Bangladesh in 2023 and is not currently a member of England’s ODI squad.
4. Marcus Trescothick – 12 Centuries
Marcus Trescothick is most renowned for his soothing cover drives and he has amassed 12 ODI centuries in 122 innings. Trescothick was frequently assigned to take on the quick bowlers in the powerplay overs while opening the batting alongside Andrew Strauss.
Over his career, the left-hander amassed 4335 ODI runs with a strike rate of 85.21 and an average of 37.37.
5. Jonny Bairstow – 11 Centuries
In 107 games, Jonny Bairstow has amassed 11 ODI centuries for England. Bairstow began his career as a middle-order batsman, although he frequently switched positions during one-day international matches.
He was finally promoted to the opening position before the World Cup 2019, which he enjoyed more than most openers do. Bairstow has a strike rate of 105 and averages 44 as an opener. He has opened the innings with all 11 of his ODI centuries.
