It is important to know the records of a team and what they have done in their history. The records are what get the attention of anyone that is a fan of the team. The records might be important for people to know about when they want to purchase tickets for a team game and for the team to know about for example when looking for players for their team. It is also worth knowing the team records because it is a way one can compare the records of different teams. The records can be useful to compare different teams because different types of records are used for different competitions. Records of wins and losses, goals for and against, performance in games, points, home and away wins etcetera can all be used for comparison purposes.

1. Longest game:

The Olympians and Royals played their NBA game for the longest time on January 6, 1951. After six overtimes, Indianapolis defeated Rochester 75-73.
