The NCAA Gymnastics Championships 2025 title went to the University of Oklahoma who won their seventh national crown on Saturday (April 19) in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Faith Torrez, Jordan Bowers and Audrey Davis led the Sooners back on top of the championships.  Notably, all their titles have been earned under Head Coach K.J. Kindler.

The Sooners have won three of the last four NCAA championships and four out of the last six. They are now tied with UCLA for the third most team titles in NCAA history. Their last win came in 2023.

The win was a redemption for Oklahoma who made a shocking exit in the semifinal last year.

OU  tallied a total of 197.6125 as they were the lead heading into the final rotation. Davis, one of the best in the on the bars, earned a 9.9250 for her sky-high piked Jaegar, and Bowers scored a 9.8875 for a near-flawless routine with perfect handstands throughout.

“We’ve actually had an incredible year. We weren’t perfect, there’s no doubt about it,” Kindler said.

“There were some blips on the radar, but consistency-wise, this team has been incredibly consistent, especially considering the amount of freshman routines and even new routines that we were competing, which I think says a lot for the future of Oklahoma Gymnastics, so we’re excited about that.”

UCLA finished second, an enormous improvement from last year, when the Bruins didn’t qualify to nationals. Emily Lee led off the team with a massive 9.9250, then Jordan Chiles upped the ante with a 9.9375 with a stuck round-off double full dismount. Emma Malabuyo headlined the beam lineup with another 9.9375, but the Bruins had to count two scores in the 9.7s, so the title was out of reach.

Missouri ended in third, the highest finish in school history. Kennedy Griffin led the squad with a 9.95. Utah finished fourth after a mixed day on vault, but it was highlighted by Avery Neff, who stuck her Yurchenko 1.5 for a 9.975.
