Night Of Champions 2025: WWE has announced that Night of Champions 2025 will happen on June 28 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This will be the 11th edition of the event, and top superstars from both Raw and SmackDown will take part. The finals of the 24th King of the Ring and 3rd Queen of the Ring tournaments will also happen at this event.
Will CM Punk Step in the Ring in Saudi Arabia?
After the June 9 Monday Night Raw episode, WWE made it official that there will be a John Cena vs CM Punk title match. But because of CM Punk’s past comments about Saudi Arabia, fans are unsure if he will actually take part. Punk has openly spoken against the Saudi government before, so people are still guessing whether he will show up or not.
If Punk is Removed, R-Truth Could Be Cena’s Opponent
If CM Punk does not take part in the match, then R-Truth is the most likely person to replace him. Truth returned during Money in the Bank 2025 and attacked Cena. He also made Cena lose the tag team match. Truth has now stopped his funny act and is showing a serious side.
Booker T also said in his recent podcast that he thinks R-Truth could win the World title. During Cena’s retirement tour, WWE wants to give fans an emotional and strong storyline. The story with Truth fits that idea well.
CM Punk May Have Changed His Opinion About Saudi Arabia
According to Dave Meltzer, WWE has been planning to include CM Punk in the Saudi event for a long time. Even though he was removed from the event’s promo earlier, sources say he is still going.
During an Instagram Live, Punk replied to a fan and said, “I have never been to Saudi. I don’t hate going to Saudi.” This makes it clear that Punk has changed his thoughts about what he said before.
Cena’s Opponent is Not Confirmed Yet
It is still not confirmed if CM Punk will face Cena or if someone else will be brought in. But WWE fans are waiting to see which big match will happen at Night of Champions 2025.
