Overwatch 2, the widely recognized video game series which is said to be released in 2016 has recently launched various useful features. As per sources, the series didn’t come up with the option to ping others. But the latest version is said to include the same.
As it is often found, not all the gamers or players would like to say something with the help of a microphone to their teammates. And, because of that reason Overwatch 2 has come up with this option. Now, it is believed that all the players, be it on Console or PC will be able to make use of the solution. However, this option will let a player press a button and convey important messages to his/her squad, briefing them on the situation. This can also be used to give warnings, orders, as well updates on matches.
Furthermore, there are two ways to make use of this system. The first one is where a player needs to press a particular button, and in the meanwhile he/she needs to look at another player in order to ping that person for any reason. And the next one is where a player can hold that button, while creating a wheel of selecting options. Also, the wheel is said to provide more options like countdown, attack, etc. The buttons to use on both PC and Console are listed below:
For PC
Press G on the keyboard or the Middle Mouse Button while looking at something or someone.
For Consoles (PS, Switch, Xbox)
Press the left arrow on the D-Pad while looking at a thing or player. Further, there is also an option to change the key bind in the game’s menu for your own purpose. The process is mentioned below:
- Enter the in-game Settings
- Select Options
- Move to the Controls section
- Select Communication, which has an additional Communication section within it
- Choose Ping in World to make several keys your Ping within the game
Moreover, this ping system has been termed as useful in Blizzard’s hero shooter, also it’s considered to be a useful one, no matter which platform a player is playing on.
