Pakistan Squad Announced For South Africa Tour

The Pakistan squad for the scheduled women’s tour of South Africa has also been revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board. It is a series consisting of three T20 Internationals and three International One-Day matches, which would mark the first international engagements of the Pakistan Women’s side since their tough 2025 ODI World Cup experience.

Uncapped Saira Jabeen and Humna Bilal Selected for PAK vs SA T20 Series

In a recent development before the upcoming PAK vs SA T20 series, the Pakistani cricket team included two new faces. The two new players in the Pakistani squad include uncapped batter Saira Jabeen and fast bowler Humna Bilal. Fatima Sana, who is known as an all-rounder, retains her captaincy position in both forms of cricket.

For the ODI part of the tour, regulars Ayesha Zafar and Najiha Alvi are set to come back into the fold. Fast bowler Diana Baig has been selected only for the ODIs, and this is going to add some extra pace options. Of the 15 players who played in the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup, 12 players remain in the side for the ODIs in South Africa, which shows consistency in rebuilding the team.

Strong Support Staff Named for South Africa Tour

Former Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz will join the squad as a mentor. The coaching staff includes:

Imran Farhat – Batting Coach

Umaid Asif – Fast Bowling Coach

Abdur Rehman – Spin Bowling Coach

Abdul Majeed – Fielding Coach

This experienced backroom team aims to guide the Pakistan squad through a demanding overseas assignment.

Training Camp and Tour Schedule Details

The Pakistan Women’s training camp will begin in Karachi on February 1, before the team departs for the three-week South Africa tour.

2nd T20I: February 13 – Benoni

3rd T20I: February 16 – Kimberley

A tour match against South Africa Emerging will be played on February 19 in Kimberley.
