Pakistan is having a test series against the Aussies and they have announced their squad of 16 players for the series. Besides that, they have also kept 5 players as a part of their reserves including Yasir Shah. The three matches will be played in Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore respectively. Haris Rauf and Shan Masood have also managed to return to the squad. Rauf, who played in last year’s Test series against South Africa and Zimbabwe, has taken the place of off-spinner Bilal Asif in the team.
Asif was a member of Pakistan’s team during their visit of Bangladesh however he did not play. Masood has been reintroduced to replace Abid Ali, who is still undergoing rehabilitation after being diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome. The Pakistani cricket board have also given a confirmation that the spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will continue as the had coach for the team for the next twelve months. Mohammad Yousuf will continue to serve as the batting coach.
