Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes to Twitter to send his wishes to ace Table Tennis player Bhavana Patel

The Paralympian represented the Indian Contingent by participating in the Table Tennis tournament. She had quite a tough defeat in the opening match of the Games. After she defeated Miao Zhang on Saturday in the semifinal,  by 3-2 she now will compete for the gold medal.

PM Modi then urged the promising paddler to give her best and play without any pressure. Bhavinaben Patel also ensured India its first medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.

The entire Indian Contingent is proud of Bhavana Patel and her amazing effort to compete for the gold medal. 

Deepa Malik, the Paralympics Committee President was quick to congratulate her.

Interestingly, World No.8 Bhavinaben Hasmukhbhai Patel is a very accomplished para-athlete and boasts of having won multiple championships. In her 13-year career so far, the paddler has competed in 28 tournaments and has won 26 of them. They include five gold, 13 silver, and, eight bronze medals respectively.

It will be an interesting competition to fight for the gold. Not only the Indian Contingent, but the entire nation is very proud of Bhavana Patel for her brilliant effort at the Games.
Back home the spectators of the tournament are hoping nothing but the best for the Table Tennis ace!
