Amidst the preparations to begin the games, the Badminton Association of India (BAI) took to Twitter to send in their warm wishes to our Para shuttlers as they start their campaign at the Paralympics Games in Tokyo 2020. Fans pour in good luck wishes on the tweet shared by the BAI.
Meanwhile, interestingly there’s good news for the Indian Contingent as the Indian squad for the Tokyo Paralympics is nearly thrice as large as that of Rio 2016. This means that the participants are so many!
Tokyo will be the first city to host the Paralympics twice, with the tournament’s first edition held in Rome in 1960 followed by Tokyo in 1964.
Given recent times, with so much exposure to international events, the expectations of the spectators are sky-high. After the Indian Contingent did quite well in the recent Tokyo Olympics, fans are looking forward to supporting the Paralympics stars!
