Patna Pirates vs Jaipur Pink Panthers: The Patna Pirates extended their winning streak in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 with a comprehensive 48-32 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers in Eliminator 1 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

Star raider Ayan Lohchab once again grabbed the limelight with a 20-point masterclass, as Navdeep provided defensive solidity with a High Five. Despite a Super 10 from Ali Samadi, Jaipur’s challenge ended as Patna stormed into Eliminator 2.

Ayan Lohchab Shines Bright Once Again

In a night of dominance, Ayan Lohchab recorded his fifth 20+ point game of PKL 12 and became the fourth player in PKL history to do so, joining legends Pardeep Narwal and Devank Dalal.

Ayan started the Pirates’ scoring and soon got going with two consecutive successful raids. In the first five minutes, his brilliance forced Patna’s first ALL OUT as they gained an early hold on the game.

Powerful Start by Jaipur, But Pirates Take Over

Jaipur Pink Panthers attempted to catch Patna off guard with Parvinder taking the opening raiding duties and Ali Samadi getting on the board early. Vinay and Reza Mirbagheri tackles kept Jaipur in the game for a while, but Patna’s all-round solidity proved to be too much.

By the 10th minute, the Pirates were 13-6 up, thanks to Ayan’s quick raids, Milan Dahiya’s support, and a strong defensive unit spearheaded by Ankit Jaglan.

Navdeep’s Defence Triggers Second and Third ALL OUTs

Patna’s momentum continued as Navdeep’s tackle brought the second ALL OUT in the 14th minute. The Pirates’ defence tightened, and the raiders capitalized, with Ayan completing his Super 10 before Milan Dahiya inflicted a third ALL OUT right before halftime. At half-time, Patna Pirates had a commanding lead of 30-13, putting a damper on the chances of the defending champions.

Jaipur’s Comeback and Samadi’s Resolve

Back in the second half, the Jaipur Pink Panthers came out determined and fired up. Ali Samadi exploded on the scene, supported by defenders Deepanshu Khatri and Aryan Kumar, reducing the lead to 30-18. Vinay’s tackles provided additional resilience as Jaipur closed the gap to 10 points in the last quarter.

But just as it seemed that momentum had swung, Navdeep struck again in completing his High Five and regaining control for Patna with a well-timed tackle.

Ayan’s Do-or-Die Raid Seals the Game

As time was finishing up, Ayan Lohchab gave a knockout blow by scoring two points on a Do-or-Die Raid, extending the score to 41-29. Ayan not only helped Patna into Eliminator 2, but also became the leading raid point scorer in PKL 12 season with a total of 275 points. Ayan’s steady brilliance, topped by a late fourth ALL OUT, guaranteed a comprehensive 47-32 win for three-time champions.

Patna Pirates’ Next Test

With this convincing victory, the Patna Pirates reached Eliminator 2, where they will play against the Loser of the Mini-Qualifier on Monday, October 27.
