Pink Panthers vs Bengal Warriorz: Jaipur Pink Panthers came out on top in a high-voltage game at the SMS Indoor Stadium as they defeated the Bengal Warriorz 45-41 on Thursday, moving up to fourth spot on the PKL Season 12 points table.
Top performances by Nitin Kumar and Ali Samadi, who both scored Super 10s, helped Pink Panthers seal the victory. Even with outstanding performances by Bengal Warriorz’ Devank Dalal and Ashish Malik, the Warriors lost in a high-scoring thriller.
Good Raiding by Nitin Kumar and Ali Samadi
The Pink Panthers vs Bengal Warriorz match started with a thrilling beginning as Devank Dalal opened the match with a Super 10, his seventh one in a row.
Dalal, who is already a star player of the league, also became the quickest raider to score 400 raid points, doing so in 38 matches. But it was the Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Nitin Kumar who put them on the board, and he and Ali Samadi went on to dominate the game, spearheading the raiding effort.
Despite Bengal Warriorz captain taking an early lead, Jaipur quickly came back through Aashish Kumar’s Super Tackle on Dalal and quickly scored through a raid from Nitin Kumar. They tied at 6-6 and Ali Samadi gave Jaipur a four-point lead with a two-point raid, finishing the first quarter with a score of 12-8 for Jaipur.
Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Dominance and ALL OUTs
The Pink Panthers took control as the match progressed. They executed an ALL OUT on the Bengal Warriorz and took a six-point advantage. Nitin Kumar kept up his excellent form with his sixth Super 10 of the season, meanwhile Aashish Kumar contributed with four strong tackles to put the two-time champions ahead 24-18 at the break.
The second period was marred as Bengal Warriorz struggled, beginning with only one player on the mat. Jaipur seized the moment and dealt yet another ALL OUT due to a tackle by Aryan Kumar, taking their lead to nine points. Despite a brave fight from the Bengal Warriorz, especially Manprit Pardeep and Devank Dalal, who briefly reduced the deficit to six points, Jaipur maintained their position.
Clutch Performances from Jaipur’s Iranian Pair in Pink Panthers vs Bengal Warriorz
The Bengal Warriorz were given a glimmer of hope as Ashish Malik completed a High Five and helped his side to reduce the lead to just three points with an ALL OUT. The Pink Panthers vs Bengal Warriorz game changed pace when the Iranian pair of Jaipur rode to the rescue at crucial stages.
Reza Mirbagheri knocked down Dalal, and Ali Samadi came in with an incredible four-point Super Raid, securing his own Super 10 in the process. This turned out to be the turning point of the game since it took Jaipur to a decisive 45-41 win, preventing the Bengal Warriorz’ late rally.
