U Mumba lost to hosts Telugu Titans in Match 25 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) on September 10, at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag.
Telugu Titans secured a 45-37 win over U Mumba in an impressive finish to the Vizag leg.
This was the second consecutive loss for the Mumbai side in this season.
Ajit Chouhan’s injury a concern for U Mumba
Star raider Ajit Chouhan missed U Mumba’s fifth encounter of PKL 12 against the Telugu Titans due to an injury he sustained in the previous match against the Bengaluru Bulls.
During the second half of the match, Chouhan suffered a blow when defender Yogesh grappled his legs in an attempt to tackle the player. The young raider received treatment on his legs before limping off the match.
In the previous match, Chouhan was the star performer for U Mumba with 13 points, including 12 touch points and one bonus point. He was substituted in the 27th minute due to the injury.
Earlier, U Mumbai coach Anil Chaprana said, “We cannot say anything about his injury right now. There is swelling in his leg right now; it will be known only after examination how he is.”

Ajit Chouhan in PKL 12
Ajit Chouhan has earned 40 points in four matches so far in PKL 12. He has notched up 39 raid points and one tackle point from 56 raids and three tackles, respectively, in the league.
With one Super Raid and 2 Super 10s, Ajit has been the best raider for the Mumba this season. The management and fans will hope for his speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action soon.
Ajit made his PKL debut in 2024 with U Mumba. He earned 186 points in 301 raids across 23 matches last season. He averaged 8.04 raids per match and finished the season with nine Super 10s and as many Super Raids.
U Mumba have six points with three wins and two losses in five encounters thus far in the league.
