Day 11 of the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 started on a great note for India as shuttler Pramod Bhagat reached the final of Men’s Singles SL3 on Saturday.

The Para-Badminton player from Bhubaneswar, Odisha is the reigning world champion, continues his excellent performance at Tokyo Paralympics as he clinched a comfortable victory over Japan’s Daisuke Fujihara 21-11, 21-16.

The match was played in Court 1 of the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo and it lasted for 36 minutes. As Badminton made its debut at the  Paralympics this year, Pramod Bhagat, also the current world no.1, assures India at least a silver and will register himself among the first Men’s Singles SL3 medallist’s.

The Men’s Singles SL3 final will be played later today, as the opponent will be determined after the SF between India’s Manoj Sarkar and the 2nd seed Daniel Bethell from Great Britain.

But, Pramod Bhagat will also be seen in action as he plays his Mixed Doubles SL3-SU5 Semi-final with Palak Kohli against the pair from Indonesia.
