Well, another record for India on Day 10 of Tokyo Paralympics 2020 as Harvinder Singh bags India’s 1st ever medal in Archery at the Paralympic Games.

After losing the semi-final match against Kevin Mather from the USA 4-6 earlier today. Harvinder Singh competed in the Men’s Individual Recurve – Open bronze medal match against South Korea’s Kim Min Su which he won 6 – 5.

The match had gone to a shoot-off as they both were tied 5-5. In the shoot-off, Kim Min Su went first and scored an 8 then it was Harvinder Singh’s turn and he scored an amazing 10 and created history on Friday at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field, Tokyo.

The Indian took up Para Archery in 2012, after watching the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

As a result, after this thrilling match India’s best-ever Paralympics Games currently has 13 medals; with Two Gold, Six Silver, and Five Bronze. Thus, Harvinder became the 1st ever Indian archer to win a Paralympic medal.
