Umesh Yadav gets 150 test wickets on dismissing Craig Overton in the test match at Oval
Umesh Yadav has been added to the Indian squad for the fourth test match against England at the Oval. After dismissing Craig Overton on Day 2 of the Oval Test, Umesh Yadav reached 150 wickets in the longer format.
Umesh Yadav became the sixth Indian pacer to take 150 Test scalps in his 48th Test match.
Kapil Dev is the fastest among Indian pacemen to complete 150 Test wickets, reaching the landmark in 39 matches followed by Javagal Srinath (40), Mohammed Shami (42), Umesh Yadav (48), Zaheer Khan (49), and Ishant Sharma (54).
In a recent interview, Umesh Yadav also said that he was very proud of being able to play cricket for a decade. Due to suffering fewer injuries, he didn’t understand what his body would go through. But while playing in all formats he has now started to understand how to take care of his body. He also shared house seniors and youngsters learn from each other.
Talking about many new bowlers performing well, Umesh Yadav also states that he looks at players as a healthy competition. The youngsters are often motivated by the seniors.
