The Premier League 2024-25 Matchweek 13 threw a series of surprise results this weekend.
Liverpool have extended their lead to 9 points, as they notched up a thumping 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday. With this result, Pep Guardiola’s side suffered their fourth successive league defeat.
Brighton drew1-1against the Saints on Friday and edged ahead of City into second on goal difference.
Arsenal quickly moved ahead of them from fifth by easing past West Ham 5-2 in a chaotic London derby on Saturday evening.
Earlier on Saturday, Crystal Palace salvaged an equaliser at home to Newcastle to move out of the relegation zone, while Brentford defeated Leicester, Bournemouth trumped Wolves and Nottingham Forest edged past Ipswich.
On Sunday, Aston Villa comfortably beat Chelsea, while Spurs continued their inconsistent run with a draw against ten-man Fulham.
Meanwhile, new Red Devil’s coach Ruben Amorim, oversaw his first home game as Manchester United thrashed Fulham 4-0 at Old Trafford.
