Puneri Paltan vs Bengal Warriorz: Puneri Paltan made it a run of games without answer in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 as they thrashed Bengal Warriorz by 45-36 scores at Vishwanadh Sports Club, Vizag, on Wednesday. This is Puneri Paltan’s third consecutive win in the season, reflecting their title contender form early in the tournament.
With Aslam Inamdar at the forefront, ably assisted by performances of a class apart from Aditya Shinde and Vishal Bhardwaj, the Paltan were able to counter Devank Dalal’s 17-point exploit in what was a high-scoring and fast-paced affair.
Puneri Paltan Get Off Mark with a Bang in First Half
At the onset of the Puneri Paltan vs Bengal Warriorz match, it was the Paltan who asserted dominance from the start. Aditya Shinde and Aslam Inamdar began aggressively, shattering Bengal’s defensive line with quick, calculated raids.
One such moment arrived in the 10th minute, when Aslam Inamdar gave a Super Raid, destroying both Nitesh Kumar and Parteek, turning the tide in Puneri Paltan’s direction. By mid-first half, in spite of Bengal’s top raider Devank Dalal’s resistance, the Paltan were leading 13-9.
ALL OUT Exchanges Highlight First Half Battle
There were two All-Outs in the first half:
The Puneri Paltan caused the first All-Out in the 9th minute, after Aslam’s spectacular tackle on Devank. The Bengal Warriorz fought back strongly, with Manprit’s raid eliminating Aslam and Abinesh Nadarajan to earn an All-Out in return.
The first half ended with the score being 26-22 in Puneri Paltan’s favour. Interestingly, no Do-or-Die raids were attempted during the opening half, reflecting the attacking mentality of both teams.
Second Half: Paltan Seal Deal, Devank Battles Solo
As the second half went on, Puneri Paltan’s attack and defense clicked together. Aditya Shinde achieved his Super 10, keeping Bengal Warriorz on their toes despite Devank’s attempts to bridge the gap.
Vishal Bhardwaj played a defensive masterclass in the 14th minute, tackling Parteek to give Bengal a second All-Out, taking the scoreline further away from the Warriorz. The lead went past 10 points as Pankaj Mohite contributed vital raid points, widening the gap and narrowing Bengal’s hopes of coming back.
Devank’s Solo Heroics Fall Short as Puneri Paltan Claim 45-36 Win
Though Devank Dalal finished with a high 17-point tally, his performance was not enough against a balanced Paltan team. Bengal Warriorz were behind 37-28 with just the last 10 minutes remaining, and Puneri Paltan’s defense stood firm to keep their advantage intact. The game concluded in a decisive 9-point victory for Puneri Paltan (45-36), boosting their stand in the PKL Season 12 points table.
