Quentin Sampson is from Karia Karia, a small village that is situated along the banks of the Essequibo River in Guyana. Quentin is the eldest of four siblings and has a very supportive family background.

Quentin’s passion for cricket was ignited when he was just six years old. Realizing his talent from a tender age, Quentin’s father decided to form a softball cricket team just to give Quentin more opportunities to play.

After completing his schooling, Quentin Sampson relocated to the East Bank to play professional cricket.
He started playing for Parika Salem Cricket Club, where he trained under the guidance of Ryan Hercules, a well-known coach who has handled the national and police cricket teams.
