Quinton De Kock Fifty Guides Mumbai To A Strong Position Against Rajasthan

The South African wicket-keeper completed his 50 runs in 35 balls.

Mumbai Indian wicket-keeper Quinton De Kock scored a much-needed fifty against Rajasthan Royals in the run-chase of 172 runs. It is De Kock’s first fifty in this IPL 14 as he struggled with his form earlier. He scored 5 fours and 2 sixes in the innings and played some beautiful shots to help Mumbai Indians get into the front seat despite losing wickets.

De Kock started the innings with captain Rohit Sharma and scored some good shots in the powerplay. He took charge from the front and scored some quick runs as Rohit struggled to make a good connection with the bat. De Kock added 49 runs in 6 overs with Rohit for the first wicket and gave Mumbai Indians the start they wanted for the run-chase.

The South-African keeper struggled for his form this season and had only one game where he scored in double digits. This is De Kock’s 15th IPL half-century and 3rd against Rajasthan Royals. De Kock innings will play an important role in the run chase against Rajasthan as they will not want to lose the 3rd consecutive game of the season.
