Skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front, contributing a vital 76 off 83 runs to put pressure on the New Zealand bowlers. He was rightly named Player of the Final. This victory marked Rohit’s second ICC title as captain and his fourth as an international player.

He scored 263 runs in four matches, averaging 65.75 with a strike rate of 106.47, including two centuries. Rachin also took three important wickets. In the final, he contributed a quick 37 off 29 balls, with four boundaries and a six.
