Phil Salt Misses home T20Is against West Indies After IPL 2025 Glory With RCB

Phil Salt, who was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s winning squad in IPL 2025, will not play in England’s upcoming T20I series. ECB confirmed that Salt made himself unavailable, and Jamie Smith has been added in his place.

Schedule of England vs West Indies T20Is

England and West Indies will play three T20 matches on June 6, 8 and 10. The matches will happen at different grounds – Riverside Ground (Chester-le-Street), County Ground (Bristol), and The Rose Bowl (Southampton). Each match will be played at a different venue.

Phil Salt Out Due to Personal Reason

Phil Salt is on paternity leave to spend time with his family. After IPL 2025 Qualifier 1, he returned to the UK for the birth of his child. He came back to Ahmedabad before the final where RCB defeated Punjab Kings to win their first IPL title.

Jamie Smith Gets a Chance, Fresh Energy in Squad

ECB selected Jamie Smith as a replacement for Phil Salt. Smith is a young and reliable wicketkeeper-batter. Harry Brook will lead the team, with Jos Buttler, Adil Rashid, and Ben Duckett also in the squad.
