India possesses a fearful batting unit. They have the experience of Rohit Sharma, the class of KL Rahul, and the aggression of Virat Kohli at the top of the order. Previously, the Men in Blue had missed a solid number four batter. However, Suryakumar Yadav joined the team in 2021 and since then, it had been a different story.
Rohit and Rahul's brilliant start in the power play, then Surya's and Virat's phenomenal 100+ partnership in the middle and then Dk's powerful finishing at the end!🙌 Every fan's dream!💙

At present, India has got its top four batters peaking. All these four stars can hit vital runs for the team. They play their game as per the match situation. Three of them are destructive as well as calm while playing. The fourth batter, Surya, knows only one way of play and that is to attack the opposition.
How India developed fab four
India’s hunt for a solid number four batter is a long-due one. It started before the 2019 World Cup. The then skipper Kohli and the chair of selectors, MSK Prasad auditioned Dinesh Karthik, Vijay Shankar, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, and Ambati Rayudu for that role. However, none of them could cement their position in the long run.
Have to say the decision of Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma to introduce Sky in the new position is paying off. Great performance from Surya and I hope he maintains the same. pic.twitter.com/3nNbeIxRqn

Surya’s name was in the rounds following his exploits in the IPL. He was finally given a chance when England toured India for a T20 series. It was the beginning of a brilliant career and he announced his arrival, by hitting Jofra Archer for a six over deep fine leg. Since then, India never had to look back. The team already had a formidable top three, and Surya’s addition made it look more powerful.
What next for the fab four?
They have an enormous responsibility in their hand. It is to lead the team in the T20 World Cup that is fast approaching in two weeks. The last time India went with a solid top four was in the 2011 World Cup when they had Sachin, Gambhir, Sehwag, and Yuvraj peaking at the best time.
#TeamIndia end on a high 🤩

Team India will hope the four stars remain in the hunt for runs and keep shining. If they do, it’ll be absolute trouble for the opponents. The ICC T20 World Cup is just a couple of weeks away. India can sense a relief that they have ticked many boxes.
