IPL 2021: Russell, Team Manager of CSK leaves for his home; Suresh Raina wishes him a safe journey
Russel, who is the team manager of Chennai Super Kings on Sunday took to Twitter and informed that he’s all set to fly back to Australia.
It’s been more than 2 weeks since IPL got suspended. Almost all of the overseas players flew to their respective countries. But almost all the players of the Australian contingent including Russell had to go to the Maldives first to remain in isolation for few days.
On Sunday, Russell, the team manager of Chennai Super Kings, took to social media and informed him that he would go back to his family. He was in the Maldives due to the Australian government’s decision of banning all flights from India because of the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in India. Even IPL was suspended due to several COVID-19 positive cases in some franchises.
