Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka gave a final message to captain Rishabh Pant after the team finished seventh in IPL 2025.
After LSG lost their last match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets, Goenka shared an emotional but strong message about the season.
Even though the team missed the playoffs, Goenka praised the team’s hard work, spirit, and unity during the season. He said winning and losing are part of the game, but true success is in never giving up.
Sanjiv Goenka posted on X: “As this IPL season comes to a close for @LucknowIPL, we look back at a journey filled with both triumphs and challenges. What stood out was the fighting spirit, unity, and resilience of our team. We stayed committed, backed each other, and never gave up.”
The LSG owner also thanked Rishabh Pant for leading with heart, despite the criticism about his captaincy and poor batting form. In IPL 2025, Pant scored only 269 runs in 14 innings and helped the team win just 6 matches during the season.
Despite the challenges, Rishabh Pant stayed strong and led the team when it mattered most.
Goenka also thanked the players, coaches, analysts, physios, and ground staff for their hard work behind the scenes. He thanked the fans too.
Goenka said, “Thank you @RishabhPant17 for leading with heart, and to every player in the squad for giving it their all.
Grateful to @ImZaheer, Justin Langer, Vijay Dahiya, and the entire management and support staff-coaches, physios, analysts, and ground staff-for their tireless efforts behind the scenes. To our fans, thank you for your unwavering support and for being part of this journey with us.”
