Saurabh Netravalkar, the Mumbai-born left-arm pacer who represented the USA in the 2024 T20 World Cup, has entered the IPL 2025 player auction. He is one of the 1,574 players who signed up for the upcoming auction, with the final list set to be narrowed down based on team feedback.

Among the applicants, 1,165 players are from India, while 409 are international. This pool includes 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 cricketers from Associate Nations. Notably, Netravalkar is one of the 10 players from the USA, entering with a base price of ₹30 lakh.

The 33-year-old caught attention during the T20 World Cup, where he delivered consistently strong performances. He took six wickets across six matches, boasting an average of 20.83 and a strike rate of 18.8. Some IPL franchises may now see him as a valuable left-arm pace option due to his recent form.

Beyond his World Cup showings, Netravalkar has a strong white-ball cricket record. In 36 T20I games for the USA, he has taken 36 wickets with an average of 21.58 and an economy of 6.70. His best T20I performance came in 2022 against Singapore, where he took 5 for 12.

His experience extends to 56 one-day matches, where he has claimed 88 wickets at an average of 22.32 and an economy of 4.08. His standout performances include five-wicket hauls against UAE and Scotland.
Netravalkar, who also works with Oracle as part of the technical staff, played a key role in the USA’s historic T20 World Cup win over Pakistan, taking 2-18 and bowling a tight Super Over to secure victory.
