SBC Summit Malta 2026: The SBC Summit Malta 2026 is gearing up to transform the way industry conferences are experienced, combining strategy with hands-on learning. The event’s final day will be entirely dedicated to workshops, giving attendees a chance to put new insights into practice.
Taking place at the InterContinental Malta from April 28 to 30, the summit promises to go beyond traditional learning. It will bring together 6,000 senior executives for three days of high-level networking and product exploration at the heart of Europe’s iGaming scene.
Building on its rebrand in 2025, the 2026 edition will further expand its focus on marketing, affiliation, casino and betting innovation, regulation, and compliance. This time, delegates can expect a new dual-structure format that combines big-picture strategy with practical application – featuring discussions on day one and workshops on day two.
A Two-Day Format with Purpose
The event will unfold across three main stages – Marketing, Product, and Compliance & Regulation – alongside two dedicated workshop rooms. Day one will feature panels, think tanks, and fireside chats, while day two will switch entirely to workshops that turn strategy into action.
“At most industry events, people talk about presence. ‘I was there,’ they’ll say,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC. “We want to shift that thinking a bit and focus on participation, not just showing up and listening.”
Marketing Takes Center Stage
Marketing will shine with a refreshed, story-led format called Marketing Unplugged. It begins with Mastermind Hour, a high-level conversation featuring leaders from Meta, TikTok, and Google. Then, The CEO Chat Show will bring top betting industry executives together to share insights on leadership and innovation. The day wraps with The CMO Review, offering candid reflections on what defines successful campaigns in regulated markets.
Supporting these sessions are discussions on brand building, spend efficiency, and personalization. On day two, the Marketing in Action workshops will let participants test their knowledge through practical exercises on influencer marketing, customer retention, and AI-powered strategies.
Innovation at the Heart of the Summit
Innovation will be a major theme throughout, with sports betting and iGaming sessions under Product Visionaries and Product in Practice. Day one will explore new ideas transforming player experiences — from gamification and crypto casinos to the growing popularity of niche sports and the global stage of the 2026 World Cup. Day two will shift to hands-on workshops on data-driven decisions, partnership strategies, and creative formats shaping the future of entertainment.
Focus on Regulation and Compliance
The third stage will dive into Europe’s regulatory, compliance, and security issues. Day one will tackle topics like cybersecurity in iGaming, fraud prevention in fintech, and adapting to tax reforms. Experts will also discuss how operators can use data to strengthen operations and stay ahead of regulatory shifts. Day two’s workshops will focus on AI-led player protection, building secure systems, and future-ready payment solutions.
Workshops That Inspire Action
Beyond the main stages, two additional rooms will host workshops on key themes:
-
Purpose, Policy & PR: Exploring brand reputation, ESG, and crisis communications.
-
Digital Powerhouses: Sessions led by Google, Meta, and TikTok on discovery and engagement.
-
Future-Ready Leadership: Covering AI in HR, leadership resilience, and employee wellbeing.
-
Affiliates Reinvented: Examining how regulation and new technologies are transforming the affiliate landscape.
“What makes this event special is its focus on progress,” said Sojmark. “We’re bringing the industry together not just to talk about change, but to be part of it.”
