Australian pacer Scott Boland delivered a spectacular performance in the fifth Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25, earning the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his outstanding bowling display. Back in 2016, Scott Boland was part of the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants in the IPL. He wrapped up with figures of 2/31 from his four overs, playing a significant role in Pune’s seven-wicket victory that night. Despite this promising start, Boland did not return to the IPL after that season.

In the first innings, Boland took four wickets, dismissing key players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Nitish Reddy. His second innings was even more impressive, as he claimed six wickets, sending Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Kohli, Reddy, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah back to the pavilion.
