SiGMA Asia 2024: Manila shows the way
The SiGMA Asia 2024 event was declared open by Alejandro H. Tenco, Chairman at Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Eman Pulis, Founder at SiGMA and Neil Shih, Managing Director at SiGMA Asia. This was followed by a grand display of mesmerizing culture and tradition of the Philippines through dance and music.
All roads lead to Manila! The who’s who of the online Gaming world converged in the Filipino capital to chart out a future map for an extraordinary gaming experience. SiGMA Asia is leading the way in forging the best arena for the online gaming industry.
SiGMA Asia hosted a spectacular show in Manila where industry leaders and influencers gave insights into the latest iGaming trends and provided a networking opportunity to the attendees through its exhibitions and social gatherings.
The gaming think tank exchanged ideas on exploring the market dynamics in South Asia, behavioral economics in casino design viz-a-viz technology, interconnection between land-based and online gaming.

The Southeast Asia gaming market is valued at $14.80 billion and expected to reach $ 14.93 billion by 2029, according to a study by Markets and Research.
The Grand Opening
The SiGMA Asia 2024 event was declared open by Alejandro H. This was followed by a grand display of mesmerizing culture and tradition of the Philippines through dance and music.
A golf tournament preluded the opening ceremony, followed by wine and cheese tasting activities. A drink reception was hosted to offer socializing prospects to the guests.

Stars Of The Day
The ballroom of the Conrad Hotel was lit up by the electrifying segment of the event which was marked by the prestigious SiGMA Asia Awards show. Topped with glitter and glamor, the award ceremony honored the best and the brightest minds in the market for their outstanding achievements and contributions.
Some of the notable winners of SiGMA Asia Awards 2024 were Gamingsoft (BEST AGGREGRATOR), BETER (Best E-SPORT PROVIDER), CasinoPlus (BEST CASINO OPERATOR), Digitain (BEST VIRTUAL SPORTS PROVIDER) and TC Gaming (BEST PLATFORM PROVIDER).
Under The Hammer
The ceremony concluded with a charitable auction which showcased a range of beautiful art works by internationally acclaimed artists. Hosted by the spirited Rick Goddard, the auction raised €47,600 for the SiGMA Foundation charity, the proceeds of which will be used for philanthropic causes, including a multi-sensory hall for disadvantaged children in Bataan, Philippines. The event brought the gaming sector together for social causes and services, drawing attention to the communities in need.

Brain Storming
In his keynote speech, Kieth Marshall, Chief Philanthropy Officer at Sigma Foundation, expressed his views on making a difference by leveraging the privileges for a meaningful purpose.
The SiGMA Asia conference also discussed tax cuts, market growth and regulatory opportunities and the potential of iGaming in the Philippines. Topics like the future of grey market, localized iGaming licensing and global compliance were touched upon.
David Meltzer, Founder of David Meltzer Enterprises, shared his views on the future of gaming and professional sports and the interlinking of technology and sports, with primary focus on the impact of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in sports.
The Manila chapter of the SiGMA World provided a platform to the stakeholders to ideate on shaping the prospective landscape of online Gaming and get into the nitty-gritty of the revenue model, market and use of technology to cater better gaming avenues.
The next stop for the Gaming fraternity is Budapest which will play host to the SiGMA East Europe Summit 2024.
