2020 Tokyo Paralympics is India’s best-ever performance at the Paralympics Games as India recorded a total of 8 medals till now. It has been raining medals for the nation for the last few days. Joining that feat is shooter Singhraj Adhana as it was his bronze that helped India double its medal tally from the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
The 39-year-old is participating in two events at the Paralympics 2020 held in Tokyo, P1 – Men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 and the P4 – Mixed 50m Pistol SH1. On Tuesday, he made it to the final of P1 – Men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1, by finishing 6th with 569 -18x points in the qualifications.
In the final, eight athletes competed for the glory, Indian shooter finish 3rd as he shot a score of 216.8 at the Asaka Shooting Range and clinched India’s second shooting medal at Tokyo Paralympics 2020. The final was dominated by the Chinese athletes as they bagged the top 2 spots. Chao Yang, the defending champion created a Paralympic Record with a score of 237.9 as he took home the gold medal and Xing Huang finished 2nd with a total score of 237.5.

Singaraja Adhana will next compete in the P4 – Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 Qualification round on 4th September at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. Hence, the Indian audience and fans will look forward to this event, hoping for a podium finish.
