On Saturday, we witnessed a spectacular contest between South Africa and Zimbabwe’s women Cricket teams. It was the third match of a 3 matches ODI series between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. They went down to score a whopping 242 runs losing 7 wickets in 50 overs. Delmi Tucker’s spectacular knock of  65, Masabata Klaas good finish by scoring 59* runs helped SA to build up a good target.

Now, coming down to chase a big target, Zimbabwe did not get a good start. They kept losing wickets in small intervals. Although Josephine Nkomo tried her best to resist the loss by scoring a 63 not out. But she also couldn’t do much. Zimbabwe could only manage 163 runs and lost 8 wickets in response to SA’s 242 runs.

This resulted in South Africa’s emerging Women defeating Zimbabwe by 80 runs. They also won the 3 matches ODI series by 3-0.
