SRH vs MI, IPL 2025: Hyderabad got to witness a Rohit Sharma masterclass on Wednesday as he led Mumbai Indians to an easy win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 41 of IPL 2025. Rohit scored a brilliant 70 runs off just 46 balls, helping his team chase down a target of 144 with no trouble.

The match started with MI captain Hardik Pandya winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. His decision worked right away, as MI bowlers quickly sent back five SRH batters with only 35 runs on the board.
Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar were outstanding in the powerplay. They took out SRH’s dangerous left-handed batters – Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Ishan Kishan – very cheaply. Hardik also grabbed a wicket, dismissing Aniket Verma. Boult removed both openers, while Chahar got Kishan out in a decision that sparked some controversy.
After the early collapse, Impact Sub Abhinav Manohar joined Heinrich Klaasen, and the pair built a crucial 99-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Their efforts gave SRH some hope, but it wasn’t enough, as they ended their innings at 143 for 8.
Trent Boult was the standout performer for the Mumbai Indians. He bowled brilliantly both at the start and in the death overs, finishing with figures of 4 for 26. Deepak Chahar took two wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya picked up one each.
Chasing 144 wasn’t a big task for Mumbai, and they came out with strong intent right from the start to put SRH under pressure and take control of the match.
Rohit Sharma gave MI a flying start and built key partnerships with Will Jacks and Suryakumar Yadav. He scored 70 before getting out, but MI were already close to victory. Yadav finished the chase in 15.4 overs with seven wickets in hand.
