Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2025 Squad has been officially announced, with leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga making the cut, pending a final fitness clearance. Hasaranga has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury during the ODI series against Bangladesh in July, which forced him to miss the subsequent T20Is and the tour of Zimbabwe.
His comeback would be a massive addition to the Sri Lankan team, considering his game-turning capability in the shorter formats of the game.

The Sri Lanka team has a familiar nucleus, and Charith Asalanka has been named captain. Dasun Shanaka is the other significant all-rounder in the team. In comparison with the team that visited Bangladesh in July, some of the missing names in the Asia Cup 2025 team are Dinesh Chandimal, Avishka Fernando, and Jeffrey Vandersay. Kamil Mishara and Kamindu Mendis have, in turn, been brought in, perhaps to ensure a bit more middle order flexibility.
