Stephen Thomas Doheny, better known as Stephen Doheny, was born in Ireland on August 20, 1998. He plays cricket for Ireland and is a well-known player. He is most known for playing domestic and international white-ball cricket. Stephen Doheny is a famous opening batsman for the Irish cricket team, and he has been playing domestic cricket for the NW Warriors side since 2017. In June 2022, he was chosen for the Ireland international team. On August 11, 2017, he played his first Twenty20 match for Leinster Lightning in the Inter-Provincial Trophy. He was a member of Ireland’s team for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup before making his T20 debut.

He made his List A debut for Leinster Lightning on June 19, 2018, during the Interprovincial Cup. He participated in his first-ever first-class game for Leinster Lightning on June 20, 2018, at the Interprovincial Championships. He led the Munster Reds in run production during the 2018 Inter-Provincial Trophy competition, with 193 runs in six games.

He was included in the Ireland Wolves squad in June 2019 for their domestic cricket series against Scotland A. Doheny was included in the Irish Twenty20 International (T20I) team in March 2020 in preparation for their series against Afghanistan in India. Doheny was selected for the Ireland Wolves team’s visit to Bangladesh in February 2021. Doheny was accepted into the Cricket Ireland Academy later that same month. Doheny impressed the selectors enough to receive a retainer contract after the tour of Bangladesh.

After Neil Rock tested positive for COVID-19 in July 2021, Doheny was added to Ireland’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against South Africa. Doheny was included in the Irish T20I team for their two-match series against India in June 2022. He was also included in the Ireland One Day International (ODI) team for their series against New Zealand that same month. Doheny was selected for Ireland’s T20I team in July 2022 and their series against New Zealand. Doheny was also included in Ireland’s T20I groups for their home series against Afghanistan and their matches against South Africa in Bristol that same month.
