T20I – India’s Playing XI: The Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah Recovers from the Injury, Likely to Play The 2nd T20I In Nagpur

After failing to defend a record target of 209 runs in the first T20I against Australia in Mohali, the captain of the Indian National Cricket Team, Rohit Sharma, and a legendary cricketer and former skipper Sunil Gavaskar, raised concerns about the bowling unit of the Indian cricket team. In the second gameplay of the seven-match series, India is all set to lock horns against the world champions Australia in Nagpur on 23rd September 2022.

According to the sources, Jasprit Bumrah might make a comeback in the 2nd T20I in Nagpur. Bumrah is most likely to become a part of India’s playing XI in the seven-match series.

After the average performance of the experienced bowlers like Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel, the Indian team management is sweating over its fast bowlers.

After the dreadful defeat of the Indian cricket team in Mohali, the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, Sunil Gavaskar, lauded the extraordinary gameplay of Australia and warned the men in blue to keep an eye on the world champions, Australia. He also raised concerns about Bhuvaneshwar’s balling in the death over and called it, ‘the real concern’ for the team’s performance.

Gavaskar also dropped a hint about Bumrah’s return to the playing XI. The former skipper said, “Someone like Bumrah is capable of taking the wickets off from the top. His absence is definitely affecting the team’s target.

The pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, who was surprisingly missing from India’s playing XI during the opening match of T20I in Mohali against Australia, had earlier proved himself to be an ace for the team during different phases of an inning, including powerplay, middle and death overs. His dominance on the wickets is being sorely missed by the management and the fans of Indian cricket.

Ahead of the 2nd T20I against Australia in Nagpur, an anonymous source from the BCCI revealed, “Although Bumrah has recovered from his back injury, the team management wants Bumrah to make a comeback at his own pace. The team management is not rushing.”

However, the reports strongly suggest, the pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, is all set to make a smashing and a competitive comeback with the 2nd T20I against Australia scheduled to be held in Nagpur on 23rd September 2022.
