Tennis is one of the most popular sports where players display their human potential on the court. However, the players have not just used the court to exhibit their agility, but also their sartorial sense.
Here are some of the iconic on-court fashion in tennis:
Serena Williams, 2018 French Open
Serena Williams stunned one and all when she stepped onto the courts of the 2018 French Open in a black catsuit. She was a sight to behold as she looked sleeked covered her head-to-toe, save for a striking red waistband.
The governing body, however, called it a violation of the dress code. Williams later clarified that she had chosen to wear pants after nearly losing her life following the birth of her daughter in 2017.
Venus Williams, 2010 Wimbledon
Serena Williams’ sister was not far behind when it came to on-court fashion. She has given several iconic looks on the tennis court.
One such look was her outfit at the 2010 Wimbledon inspired by her icon, Tina Turner. It featured a halter neck, bustier-style top and a tassled fringe skirt that swished with every move she made.
