These 3 WWE Stars Are On The Roster But Off TV
The professional wrestling industry is full of surprises and not just in the ring. Even wrestlers signed to full-time contracts with major companies like WWE can go months, or even years, without appearing regularly on TV. With rosters as stacked as WWE’s, it’s easy for talented names to fade from the spotlight, leaving fans wondering if they’re still around.
Here are three WWE stars who are still officially part of the active roster, even if you haven’t seen them much lately.
Once promoted as the “Nigerian Giant,” Omos made a huge impact when he debuted, standing head and shoulders above almost everyone in WWE. Teaming with AJ Styles, he won the RAW Tag Team Championship and seemed destined for a dominant singles career. He even faced Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39.
But after those high-profile moments, his appearances became rare. Omos briefly wrestled in Pro Wrestling NOAH while still under WWE contract, gaining international attention, but his run there was cut short. Reports suggest WWE still sees him as a special attraction and may move him between promotions to build his brand, much like the old territory days.
For now, though, WWE hasn’t found a consistent storyline for him. He still makes the occasional appearance, but fans are left wondering when or if his big push will finally happen.
When Apollo Crews arrived on the main roster in 2016, he quickly impressed fans with his incredible athleticism. He went on to win both the United States and Intercontinental Championships, and in 2020–21, he debuted a short-lived heel persona as “Nigerian Royalty.”
Despite his talent, Crews has been the victim of stop-start booking. His Intercontinental title run remains the peak of his WWE career so far. After a stint in NXT, he was drafted back to RAW in 2023 but hasn’t had much TV time since.
Recently, he suffered a torn pectoral muscle and underwent surgery. Once he recovers, he could get another chance to climb the ranks though the mid-card seems to be his most likely spot for now.
As the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina has been part of WWE’s women’s division for over a decade. Known for her power and toughness, she’s held the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Natalya and teamed with Nia Jax, as well as several other partners over the years.
Unfortunately, injuries and a wave of new talent in the women’s division have pushed her further out of the spotlight. These days, she’s rarely seen on TV, and when she is, it’s usually in multi-woman matches or quick cameos.
In fact, she was briefly removed from WWE’s active roster list in 2023, but she’s still under contract. While her appearances are infrequent, she remains a respected veteran who can be called upon when needed.
