Born on December 22, 1998, in Norway, Casper Ruud hails from a tennis-oriented family background and is the son of former professional tennis player Christian Ruud, who was Norway’s top player in the 1990s and reached a career-high ranking of World No. 39. Casper Ruud started off with his professional tennis training at the young age of six under the guidance of his father, Christian Ruud.
The 26-year-old Norwegian professional tennis player received a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2, achieved on 12 September 2022, making him the highest-ranked Norwegian in history.
