Rajasthan Royals (RR) bowler Tushar Deshpande took an important wicket against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH). He dismissed the dangerous Travis Head in his first over and celebrated excitedly during the second match of the IPL 2025 season.

The Royals chose to bowl first after winning the toss against SunRisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, March 23. SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma got off to a strong start. Abhishek scored 24 runs off 11 balls before being dismissed by Maheesh Theekshana.
Tushar Deshpande got rid of Travis Head on the third ball of SunRisers Hyderabad’s innings. Deshpande bowled a full delivery outside off, which was out of Head’s hitting range, causing him to mistime a lofted shot. The left-handed batter hit the ball straight to Shimron Hetmyer at mid-off, who made the catch.
The bowler was clearly excited after taking the important wicket of Travis Head. He celebrated passionately with his teammates while Head walked off to the dressing room.

Travis Head scored 67 runs off 31 balls before getting out. The left-handed batter hit nine boundaries and three sixes during his time at the crease. Sunrisers Hyderabad had scored 130 runs in 9.3 overs when they lost their second wicket.
Head also reached the milestone of 4,000 T20 runs during his innings. He needed 64 runs to reach this achievement.
Tushar Deshpande has a strong record against Travis Head in the IPL. Deshpande has dismissed Head twice in their three meetings, giving away just 19 runs off 9 balls. Head has scored at a strike rate of 211.11, but Deshpande has managed to get him out with an average of 9.50.
