The Titans held on tight again and forced another ALL OUT in the 14th minute to stretch their lead to 18-7. U Mumba, without their star raider Ajit Chouhan, struggled to get into their game, and Satish Kannan was just a single glimmer here and there but nothing to get the Titans rattled.
Bharat Hooda had a Super Raid as he hoisted himself into his Super 10 and by half-time, the score was already 27-11 in favor of the Titans.
U Mumba Rally Back but Titans Remain in Front
U Mumba started showing the signs of a comeback in the second half, beginning with a Super Tackle by skipper Sunil Kumar off Bharat. But a run of unforced errors send them back, resulting in a third ALL OUT when Vijay Malik gained a touch on Satish.
Replacement Amirmohammad Zafardanesh jolted U Mumba’s hopes with some vital points briefly, but Bharat kept going with his dominance, restoring the lead to 20 points. The score by the end of the third quarter was 39-21.
Late Surge from U Mumba Not Enough
In the last 10 minutes, Sandeep replaced a player on the bench and was in action right away, earning six raid points. But Shankar Gadai and Ajit Pawar were relentless Titans and combined for a Super Tackle of Sandeep, regaining control.
U Mumba did manage to earn an ALL OUT late in the game, courtesy of a double raid by Zafardanesh, bringing down the deficit to a mere eight points. But too little, too late, as Telugu Titans sealed victory at 45-37, concluding their home leg with three on the trot.
