Exchanges are going on between the British government, European football’s overseeing body UEFA and others about the venue of the Champions League Final.

The final between Manchester City and Chelsea that was earlier planned to be played in Istanbul in Turkey is now going to be shifted to someplace else after the British Government put travel restrictions over Turkey amid rising infections.

When asked further about the situation, British Minister Michael Gove said, “We’re currently exploring options and are in constant touch with authorities regarding same.”

On asking further whether or not the venue would be in Britain he said, ” At this point, it is difficult to say something with surety, obviously we as fans would love it if way.”

The UEFA Champions League final match is to be played between Chelsea and Manchester City on May 29th, 2021.
