The eagerly awaited UFC 321 promises to bring a loaded card of adrenaline-fueled fights this Saturday, with two high-riding title fights. In the headliner, UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall puts his first undisputed title defence on the line against top challenger and former interim champion Ciryl Gane.
Here’s all you need to know about the complete UFC 321 fight card, starting time, and what each fighter has on the line on this action-packed card.
Main Event: Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane – UFC Heavyweight Title
Tom Aspinall, after snatching the undisputed heavyweight championship and the retirement of Jon Jones in June, is making his first title defence. The UFC 321 match is a great thing for Aspinall; he has a solid winning streak, as he won 11 out of the last 12 fights and most of them he finished in an exciting way and with the sharpest striking.
His counterpart, Ciryl Gane, is not unfamiliar with championship highlight, having before held the interim heavyweight title. A technical fighter known for his lightness on feet, Gane represents a stiff test to Aspinall’s reign.
This headliner is set to be a puncher’s masterclass between two of the division’s most lethal competitors.
Co-Main Event: Virna Jandiroba vs. Mackenzie Dern – Strawweight Title Rematch
The co-main event of UFC 321 will have Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern fighting again for the strawweight title in a match everyone is looking forward to.
Jandiroba is coming to the fight with five consecutive victories and is aiming at taking back her unanimous decision defeat to Dern at UFC 256 nearly five years back. Dern who has world-class jiu-jitsu and submission skills is not only after the title but also the recognition of being the best in the division.
