US Open 2025: Points And Prize Money Breakdown

The US Open 2025 will be the 145th edition of tennis’ tournament and the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year.  The event will take place from August 19- September 7.

It will be held on outdoor hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.

The US Open 2025 will see the top players of the world renewing their rivalries at a big international stage.

Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka are the men’s and women’s singles defending champions, respectively. This will be the final edition of the tournament with Stacey Allaster as its director.

The US Open main draw will expand to 15 competition days in 2025, and will feature the first weekend start to the main draw in the Open Era alongside the Australian Open and the French Open tennis championships.

US Open 2025: Prize money breakdown

The total overall prize money for the 2025 US Open totals $90 million, 20% more than the 2024 edition.

The 2025 singles champions will each receive $5,000,000, a 38.89% hike over the previous year’s payout, while runners-up will take home $2,500,000, also an increase by 38.89%.

First-round losers in the main draw will get rewarded $110,000 (up 10% from 2024), and players losing in the first round of qualifying will earn $27,500.

Overall, prize money across all rounds and events saw double-digit percentage increases, with total compensation rising 113% since 2015
