Virat Kohli made a subtle comment about Babar Azam in the latest episode of the ‘RCB Inside Show’. The Indian batting star is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ongoing IPL 2025.
In the latest episode of the RCB Insider Show, Mr. Nags tried to understand Virat Kohli’s “meditative state of mind,” which led to a funny moment. The former RCB and India captain jokingly said the now-viral line, “Ghante ka peace,” during a light-hearted conversation with Mr. Nags.
For those who don’t know, the phrase ‘Ghante ka king’ is well-known among cricket fans in South Asia. It was made popular by two Pakistani YouTubers to make fun of Babar Azam’s poor form on the field.
Many fans think that Virat Kohli was taking a jab at Babar with his latest comment on the RCB Insider Show. In the video, Kohli is seen pretending to meditate when Mr. Nags comes over and hugs him. Kohli didn’t like the hug and reacted in a funny way by pushing Mr. Nags away and saying, “Chhii, go sit over there.”
Mr. Nags quickly reminded Kohli that he once said to always show love to your loved ones. In response, Kohli joked, “Extend love, but only after having a bath. You come like that, my whole peace is spoiled.”
Kohli then got up and started to walk away, and that’s when Mr. Nags called out, “Maintain peace!” Kohli replied with the now-viral and hilarious one-liner: “Ghante ka peace.”
Virat Kohli is having a great season with the bat in IPL 2025. The right-handed batter is currently the top run-scorer for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and sits fifth overall in the tournament. In six matches, Kohli has scored 248 runs at an impressive average of 62 and a strike rate of over 140. He has already hit three half-centuries.
With his current form, Kohli will be aiming for another Orange Cap. He was the highest run-scorer last season and is one of the top contenders to win it again this year.
As for RCB, they’ve had a strong start to their campaign. The Bengaluru-based team has won 4 out of their 6 matches so far and is currently placed third in the points table.
