Former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is likely to be selected in the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Indian cricket team will face Zimbabwe after a short tour to West Indies. India will play three ODIs and 5 T20Is against West Indies starting on 22nd July, Friday. Indian opening batter Shikhar Dhawan will lead the side (Indian team) in this 3-match ODIs.

Virat Kohli hasn’t been picked up for this series (West Indies) and this was a matter of concern for many fans as they wanted to see him in the Indian squad. Virat Kohli is not in a brightest of his form as he is still finding his 71st century in international cricket. Virat has been given rest for this ODI and T20I series against West Indies.

The 3-match ODI series between Zimbabwe and India will be starting from 18 August. According to reports, BCCI and selectors will give chances to Virat Kohli to be in the team to regain his form. After this series, India will be playing Asia Cup and T20 World Cup which will start in the month of October.
